WASHINGTON DC (July 1, 2008) — The Jake Group, an integrated communications firm located in the nation’s capital, has moved from its location at 3218 O Street, NW to nearby offices at 3214 O Street, NW. The new studio space more accurately reflects the company’s full-service capabilities which include brand development; website design, development and hosting; photography; and other creative marketing services.
“Our business has grown significantly over the past several years, which is why we’ve chosen to move into bigger, more creative space,” said President and Founder, Anneli Werner. “The move was a true labor of love for the entire Jake team because we were all closely involved with the build-out and interior design of the space.”
The Jake Group now occupies the second floor of a historic Georgetown townhouse which was built in 1830. Under Ms. Werner’s direction, the offices were custom designed in an open environment to foster creativity and collaboration among the staff. The studio’s interiors were hand selected by The Jake Group staff with a distinctly contemporary style. Even the framed photographs that adorn the walls were an in-house contribution by resident photographers Joe Shymanski and Scott Henrichsen.
“We couldn’t be more pleased about the move,” said Werner. “We are very lucky to have had the opportunity to move into such beautiful space that is filled with so much history.”
Designed by the award-winning architectural firm, Robert Bell Architects, The Jake Group’s new home is replete with antiques from Washington’s past. The pine flooring throughout the studio originates from President Monroe’s Montpelier home, while the iron doors and windows were procured from the Australian Embassy. The front garden gates and fence are original 19th century wrought iron with a traditional hand-made “Charleston” entrance, and the “Greek fret” balcony railings were once part of the U.S. Treasury building.
The Jake Group is open for business 9:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. EST, Monday – Friday.
